The 119th winner of the 2000 Guineas, held on Wednesday 27th April 1927 over the Rowley Mile, was Adam's Apple (20/1), a bay colt by Pommern out of Mount Whistle, owned by Mr Charles Whitburn. The winner won by a short head in 1 minute 38.2 secs, with half a length back to the third. A field of 23 runners contested the race which was worth £5,050 (Equivalent to £283,900 in 2017)
